Login and password issues

If you can't sign in or your password isn't working, the fix is usually one of these.

I forgot my password

Open the sign-in page and click Forgot password?.

Enter your email and click Send reset link.

Open the email we send you (check spam if it's not there) and click the link.

Set a new password.

The link expires after a short window for security. If yours has expired, request a new one from the same screen.

My password reset email didn't arrive

Check your spam or promotions folder.

Wait a couple of minutes; large email providers sometimes delay messages.

Make sure you typed your email correctly on the reset screen.

If it still hasn't arrived after 10 minutes, contact support and we can help you recover the account.

My password is rejected even though it's correct

Make sure caps lock isn't on.

Type the password into a plain text field first to confirm it's what you think it is, then paste it.

If you've recently changed your password, you may be using the old one out of habit. Try the password reset flow.

I'm getting "incorrect email or password"

One Privacy uses a generic message for security (we don't reveal whether the email exists). Check both fields:

The email matches the one you used when you signed up.

Caps lock is off.

You're using the right One Privacy account if you have several.

If everything checks out and it still fails, request a password reset.

I'm locked out

For security, One Privacy temporarily blocks sign-in attempts after several failures. Wait a few minutes and try again, or use the password reset flow.

I lost access to the email on file

If you can no longer access the email tied to your account, we'll need to verify your identity to help you recover it.

Contact support from your work email or another account, share the One Privacy email you can't access, and we'll guide you through recovery.

I'm signed in but the dashboard won't load

Try a hard refresh (Ctrl + Shift + R or Cmd + Shift + R).

Try a different browser or an incognito session. A browser extension may be interfering.

Check our status page to see if there's an ongoing issue.

If the problem persists, contact support.

Two-factor authentication

One Privacy plans for two-factor authentication will be added soon. If you're worried about account security in the meantime, use a strong, unique password (a password manager makes this easy).
