Getting started

How long does setup take?

Most teams have the dashboard configured in an afternoon. Adding the snippet to your website depends on your platform: a few minutes for Google Tag Manager, WordPress, or Shopify; up to half a day if your developer needs to update a custom build pipeline.

Do I need a developer to use One Privacy?

Not for the dashboard. Customizing the banner, running scans, and managing consent records are all no-code.

You'll likely involve a developer (or your IT team) once: when you add the install snippet to your website. After that, One Privacy is fully self-serve.

Will One Privacy slow down my website?

No. The script is small, loads asynchronously, and the banner only renders once it's ready. Your page speed and Core Web Vitals stay intact.

Banners and customization

Can I match the banner to my brand?

Yes. You can change colors, copy, languages, position, and which buttons appear. For brands with very specific design requirements, the Custom CSS editor gives you full control.

Can I show different banners in different regions?

Yes, that's exactly what Geo targeting is for. Set up a rule per region and One Privacy detects each visitor's location and shows them the right banner.

Can I have multiple languages?

Yes. Add as many languages as you need from the Customization screen. Visitors see the banner in their browser's preferred language automatically.

Scanning

How often does the scanner run?

You decide. You can run scans on demand, or schedule them weekly or monthly. Most teams run a scheduled scan once a week.

Will the scan affect my website's traffic numbers?

The scanner visits your site like a real visitor, so it does generate page views in your analytics. If that's a concern, schedule scans during low-traffic hours and exclude scanner traffic in your analytics tool's filters.

What if my website is behind a login?

One Privacy scans the public side of your website. If important pages are gated behind a login, the scanner can't reach them. Contact support if you need to scan authenticated pages and we can advise.

Do you store visitors' personal data?

One Privacy stores the visitor's consent choices, an anonymous identifier, and a few technical fields (timestamps, country code). We don't collect names, emails, or any other identifying personal data.

Records are kept for the length of your subscription. You can export them at any time. After cancellation, records are kept for a limited retention window before deletion.

Yes. Owners and Admins can export records from the Consent Audit page. Exports are emailed to you. See Exporting consent records.

Compliance

Does One Privacy make me compliant with GDPR?

One Privacy gives you the consent layer required by GDPR (clear opt-in, granular categories, easy reject, audit trail). Full GDPR compliance also includes lawful bases, data subject rights, and breach procedures, which sit outside One Privacy. See the GDPR guide.

What about India's DPDP Act?

One Privacy supports India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act with multilingual banners (Indian languages included), opt-in consent, easy withdrawal via the floating button, and a complete consent audit trail. See the DPDP guide.

What about Google Analytics and Google Ads?

One Privacy emits Google Consent Mode v2 signals automatically. Your Google tags pick them up without any extra setup. See Google Consent Mode.

Plans and billing

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan covers a small website and is great for trying things out. Higher plans add scheduled scans, geo targeting, more languages, and the Test environment.

Can I switch plans any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. See Upgrading or downgrading.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit and debit cards. Enterprise customers can pay by invoice; contact our team to set that up.

Account and team

How many people can I add to my workspace?

Plans include a different number of seats. Most plans cover several team members; Enterprise has unlimited seats. See your usage page for the current limit.

Can I belong to more than one workspace?

Yes. If you're invited to another workspace, both appear on your Workspaces page and you can switch between them in one click.
