Managing your profile

Your profile holds the details One Privacy uses to identify you across the dashboard, like your name, email, and theme preference.

Open your profile​

Click your avatar in the top right of the dashboard and choose Profile.

What you can update​

Name. Shown on team pages and on consent records you create.

Email. Used for sign-in and to receive notifications (including audit exports). See Changing your email below.

Theme. Light or dark mode. Defaults to whatever your operating system uses.

Time zone. Used to display dates in your local time across the dashboard.

Changing your email​

Changing your sign-in email takes a couple of steps to keep your account secure:

  1. Open your profile.
  2. Click Change email.
  3. Enter the new email and your current password.
  4. We send a verification link to the new address. Click it to confirm.

Until you confirm the new address, your old email keeps working.

Notifications​

Notifications about exports, scheduled scans, and team activity are sent to your account email. We don't currently send marketing emails to dashboard users.
